Maxim Integrated Products MAX13223E: Dual-channel RS-232 transceiver integrates fault protection

Providing pin compatibility with the vendor’s MAX3223E, the ±70V fault-protected, dual-channel MAX13223E TS0232 transceiver targets applications requiring power and data transmission in one cable, such as automotive systems, telematics, base stations, utility meters, industrial equipment, point-of-sale terminals, and telecom equipment. Operating over 3 to 5.5V, the device provides an EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 communications interface. Functioning over a –40 to +85°C temperature range, the transceiver comes in a TSSOP-20 package and costs $2.70 (1000).
