The pulse-density-modulation SSM2517 digital-input Class D audio amplifier suits use in handsets, portable media players, and laptop computers. The amplifier combines an audio DAC, a power amplifier, and a PDM (pulse-density-modulation) digital interface. Digitally transmitting the audio to the amplifier minimizes the effect of the GSM interference or other sources of electrically coupled noise.
