Avago Technologies ACPL-M71T and ACPL-M72T: CMOS optocouplers target hybrid-electric vehicles

November 2, 2009

Aiming at hybrid-electric vehicles, the low-power ACPL-M71T and the ACPL-M72T 15-MBd LED-drive optocouplers feature 40-kV/µsec common-mode rejection at a 1000V typical common-mode voltage. Operating over a –40 to +125°C temperature range, the single-channel devices suit use in CANbus- and microcontroller-interface applications. The ACPL-M71T provides 26-nsec propagation delay at a 10-mA typical forward current, and the ACPL-M72T has a 60-nsec propagation delay at a 4-mA typical forward current. Available in SOIC-5 packages, the devices cost $2.43 (1000).
