AVX Corp 5846: Board-to-board connectors resist vibration and drop shock

The 5846 board-to-board connector series features a 3-mm stacking height with a 0.4-mm pitch contact. Built in a pinched-contact structure, the connector integrates a bottom plate to protect the contacts, making the device resistant to vibration, drop shock, and short circuits in respect to printed tracks and the PCB. Specifications include a 0.3A rated contact current, a 50V rated contact voltage, gold-plated beryllium-copper contacts, and UL94V-0 heat-resistant insulator material. Operating over a –40 to +85°C operating temperature, the 5846 board-to-board connector series costs 40 cents.
