Infineon Technologies CoolMOS CP 500V: MOSFET reduces switching losses

March 5, 2007

Joining the vendor’s CoolMOS CP series, the CoolMOS CP 500V power MOSFET provides 50V/nsec switching speeds. The device has a 6.7×ΩnC figure of merit (on-state resistance times gate charge), reducing the conduction and switching losses and increasing the efficiency of power-supply designs. Available in a TO-220 package, the 140-mΩ CoolMOS CP 500V costs $1.35 (1000).

I think there's a lot of sense in UBM's approach to socail media as a way of building audience engagement, particularly in relation to its events business. However, given that global searches doubled last year, it's hard to see SEO's importance diminishing. For the foreseeable future, search looks likely to remain the most popular method of finding information online.
