Zetex Semiconductors: MR16 chip set and reference design reduce component count by 50%

December 20, 2007

Aiming at MR16-compatible LED lamps, the MR16 dedicated chip set and reference design have 50% fewer components than similar products, as well as decreasing PCB (printed-circuit-board) size and weight in lamp necks. Suiting use in associated-power-rectification, LED-current-control, and protection functions, the devices enhances lighting-class LED’s reduced total cost of ownership, compared with that of halogen-reflector lamps. The MR16 costs 90 cents (1000).

Bill Failing to give a useful link is one of my pet peeves. In this case you can find it by searching for MR16 as a keyword rather than part number.

I can't find MR-16 anywhere on the Zetex web site. What is the part number?
