Toshiba America Electronics Components UMOS-V: Switching MOSFETs aim at synchronous dc/dc converters

March 6, 2007

Targeting synchronous dc/dc converters, the UMOS-V high- and low-side switching MOSFETs suit flat-panel displays, servers, desktop PCs, and mobile computers. The low-side MOSFET includes lower on-resistance and a reduced self-turn-on loss using a lower gate-to-drain capacitance and a lower RG (gate resistance). Using a new process technology, the high-side MOSFET enables faster switching using a lower QSW (gate charge) and a lower RG. Prices for the UMOS-V family range from 60 to 90 cents.
