IRC LRF3W: Chip resistors provide low resistance and high power

November 14, 2007

Suiting high-current-sensing applications, the 3W, surface-mount LRF3W chip-resistor series targets fuel-gauging and overcurrent detection, ac/dc power supplies and VRMs (voltage-regulator modules), motorized seats, power windows, seat heaters, and automatic-fuel-pump-collision cutoff. Features include a ±100 ppm/°C TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance); a –55 to +150°C temperature range; and a 0.002 to 0.1Ω resistance range with ±1, ±2, ±5, ±10, absolute tolerances. Available in a 1225 package, the LRF3W series costs 20 cents (1800).
