AndersDX Touch-dX monitors: Devices target industrial, commercial user interfaces

January 24, 2012

The Touch-dX family of midsized monitors uses the vendor’s ShadowSense technology, offering five touch points and compatibility with ELO Touchsystems’ open-frame monitors. The Touch-dX monitors support finger, glove, and stylus input. The family includes a 19-in. unit with a 5-to-4 aspect ratio; a 17-in. unit with a 5-to-4 aspect ratio; and 19- and 22-in. units with a 16-to-10-aspect-ratio option. The devices’ response time is 6 msec, and the units can detect objects as small as 2 mm. The devices require no periodic recalibration and come with a comprehensive programming and diagnostic utility that allows the vendor to fine-tune the sensitivity of the touch sensor to customers’ application requirements.
