Inflection Points : timeline (networking)

George Zimmerman, CTO of SolarFlare, has graciously shared some of his thoughts and observations about the past, present, and future inflection points, especially with regards to the telecommunications and networking markets. The following excerpt from his post illustrates how inflection points can sneak up on us

… I distinctly recall giving a talk to a communications systems group at a major research institute and answering a question from the audience that can roughly be translated as “didn’t Shannon say that was impossible?”. Later it was, “won’t that take too much power?”

It is my hope that as you read these stories, you might want to reflect on and share your own observations in context of the markets that consume your everyday attention.
