EDN’s Mind of the Engineer 2009: Part 1

Today, I attended a presentation of the latest EDN Mind of the Engineer study by Rhonda McGee of Reed Business Information’s Research Department. There are lots of interesting things in this study that I’ll cover in a subsequent blog. But for now, I wanted to cover the accidental joke at the beginning. The study shows that engineers are “passionate, dedicated, and they love what they do,” said Rhonda. “They’re from a different gene pool.”

“Aha!” I thought, “That’s why they have so much trouble interbreeding.”
