Found: A Use for Twitter—Blog Announcer

April 7, 2009

During a phone conversation with EDN editor and close friend Margery Conner, I finally got a use for Twitter. Margery told me that people would more speedily find out about these blogs if I Tweeted them. It’s even faster than an RSS feed she explained after I asked. So if you cannot wait to find out when my next blog entry hits the Blogosphere, then you’ll find my Tweets posted by “therealsleibson” in the Twittersphere.

Tweets are shorter, easier to read. It's like reading a list of newspaper headlines, you basically know what each link is about in just one sentence and select the ones you like.

I follow some bloggers via both RSS and Twitter. But I tend to click on the tweets more often, for whatever reason. - Paul
