On The Verge returns

A few of you that long ago subscribed to my RSS feed might not even remember why you did or who I am. I apologize for taking the year off – from bloggin that is. That’s clearly not the right thing for a blogger to do. But I plead unusual circumstances.

About a year ago I moved back into the position of Editor-In-Chief at EDN. That was a very stressful time as we were looking to fill several editorial positions and that effort took months.

About the time we were almost comfortably staffed, I got buried in our 50^th anniversary celebration. Check out the stuff on our 50th microsite. We’ve got a great mix of old and new and a fantastic timeline project. We have produced one audiocast and have others coming.

About the time we had the 50^th project under control, our annual Global Report became the critical issue. You will see the results of that project next month.

So there are my excuses. None the less, I know I should have been blogging. There were many times in the last year that I really wanted to chime in on one issue or another. But I also worried that I’d do a single post and then go for an extended period without a post. I feel I can recommit to the blog now. I hope I can be a reliable, and once again trusted information resource.
