Back to blogging and Alex’s Lemonade Stand
I’ve been conspicuously absent from the blog world for a while. I have good excuses such as working on the launch of our video platform that has been well received at edn.com and working on our fourth annual Global Report due in November. Those aren’t however good excuses for letting my blog grow stale. It took our company’s commitment to a charity fund raising day to get me back blogging. Tomorrow Thursday Sept 27, we are holding a fundraiser for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand charity. The charity is named focused on finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Tomorrow our sales organization will donate 5% of the day’s proceeds to charity and the Boston division will donate specifically to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. But we editors have been invited to participate as well. The company is going to make additional donations to charity based on the traffic generated by our editorial web operations tomorrow.
Our entire EDN editorial team is planning an even more exhaustive than normal set of news stories, blog posts, and special research presentations. Please make sure to check your favorite EDN blogger as well as home page and channel pages for the latest in technology, and help drive our contribution to charity at the same time.
As for me, I’ll take this opportunity to get back to regular blogging. I’ll have some interesting tidbits on everything from municipal Wi-Fi to this week’s Halo 3 launch.
