Laser harp lights up with programmable light-to-frequency converter

March 19, 2009

Doing some research on the TAOS TCS230 (pdf) programmable color light-to-frequency converter, I came across this video of a laser harp that uses the TCS230. Although I didn’t get a chance to see it, I heard about the harp at last year’s Maker Faire in San Mateo.

Laser harpThis version uses an Arduino open-source hardware microcontroller platform, which is based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller, to program and interface to the TCS230, among other duties.
