Registration opens for March 2010 LED Workshop in Santa Clara
Yessss. Registration is open now for the next “Designing with LEDs” workshop in Santa Clara (March 17th at the Santa Clara Convention Center.) This free event is a great opportunity to learn the latest on the HB LED devices themselves as well as their enabling technologies: Power and thermal management and optics design. I’m very happy to say that, by popular demand, Cary Eskow will be returning to give the keynote address. (Cary also leads one of the hands-on demos in the afternoon. These are great opportunities to pick the brains of engineers on the cutting edge of HB LED design.)
You can check out the agenda page for more details on the papers and demos, but here’s a quick summary of the morning paper titles:
Power Management Track
- Paper 1: On the Field Reliability of LED Lighting Systems
- Paper 2: The top 3 Design Challenges for Solid-State Lights
Optics & Light Measurement Track
- Putting the Light Only Where it’s Needed: A Primer on LED Optics
- Practically Speaking: LED Light Measurement
LEDs and Solar Power Track
- Paper 1: Design Techniques for Solar Powered Lighting Applications
- Paper 2: Integrated Solar Powered Lighting Solutions
Thermal Management Track
- Paper 1: The Mechanical Engineer’s Guide To LED Lighting
- Paper 2: Cooling Techniques for LEDs
Be sure to register early: Last year all seats filled up and we had to close registration early. See you there (on St. Patrick’s Day, I might add.)
