PowerSource launch – Hello World
"Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop." -Lewis Carroll.
Good advice for any writing endeavor, including this running commentary on electronics power sources, subsystems, products, and schemes. One of the absolute best things about covering power is that it's a vital component of every aspect of electronic design. So to a large extent PowerSource has a license to cover all aspects of power in electronics design, from the more basic, such as power supplies, control ICs, and components, to applications which are uniquely defined by their power constraints. Could be applications which rely on energy harvesting (code phrase for wireless sensor systems), could be the latest in batteries or cell packs, could be solar power innovations… you get the picture. If it's something I'm interested in, I see it through power-colored glasses. Feel free to use the "comments" button conveniently provided. Or email me at mconner[at]reedbusines.com
Who's the "I" doing the writing? I'm Margery Conner, and I've been working for, with, and around EDN since 1986. I have a BSEE from UC Irvine where [cue the spooky, foreshadowing music] my senior project included the design and construction of a power supply.
