Download the latest edition of “Designer’s Guide to Instrumentation Amplifiers”

March 22, 2007

I don’t know if the best things in life are free, but there are some truly outstanding free tutorials available on vendor sites. Analog Devices recently released the third edition of its perennially popular “A Designer's Guide to Instrumentation Amplifiers.” You can give them your name and address and they’ll mail you a soft-bound copy of the book, but if you’re into instant gratification like me, you’ll just use the download option on the page and go straight to the 130 pp pdf.

It’s not just a glorified app note for ADI parts: Most of the chapters use generic rather than part-specific examples. And you get the best of both worlds in the section, “Matching In-Amp Circuits to Modern ADCs” which includes both a table that matches converter type and resolution to general in-amp gain, as well as separate tables that match ADCs to specific ADI In-Amps. Fast, free, and useful – you can’t beat it.

Update: For those of you who've requested a copy in the comments below: Just click on this url to download or order: http://www.analog.com/pr/freeinampguide
