Free MIT course materials and supply chain seminars
I came across a few free resources I thought this audience would appreciate. First, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is offering what it describes as free “open educational resources,” which basically translate into free MIT classes, minus the credit and access to the faculty. The school is making materials from some 1,500 courses available online, including a slew of EE and computer science class materials.
Also, Avnet Electronics Marketing and Xilinx just kicked off the latest Avnet X-Fest seminar series starting in Salt Lake City today. X-Fest is a series of one-day technical sessions offering 90-minute how-to training seminars around system level design for FPGA, DSP and embedded systems designers and runs worldwide through July 13.
Avnet reports that to date nearly 1,400 people have registered for X-Fest in North America, while more than 500 attended the first two seminars in China. X-Fest is also planned for Europe and Japan.
