There's a lab in the corner where the sun,
Where the sun never shines.
That's where you'll find me,
That's where you'll find me
Working all day into the night.
I measure jitter, I measure wander,
And I’ll check that the bits are alright.
If I find bit errors, you’ll have to fix them
And report back to me when you are done.

I'm the test guy, I'm the test guy,
And you know I will find every glitch.
I'm the test guy, I'm the test guy,
And I’ll say when your product will ship.

So you’ve returned with a new prototype.
Now we will see if it’s up, up to the hype.
I’ll check that jitter and I’ll check that bit rate
And then decide if it goes out the gate.
It’s looking good there’s no more glitch.
You’ve got it right, it will go without a hitch.
But always remember with each new design
That it won’t ship until I, I give the sign.

I'm the test guy, I'm the test guy,
Nothing ever, ever gets by me.
I'm the test guy, from the lab in the corner
And I’ll make sure it’s right, you wait and see.

"The Lab in the Corner" was recorded at Melville Park Studio, Boston, MA.
