High Integrity Systems of the Wittenstein AG group, and InterNiche Technologies Inc., have expanded an existing alliance in middleware cross-distribution, by offering new tools for ARM's Cortex M-3 processor.  High Integrity Systems brings its expanded tools for the FreeRTOS open-source kernel, which are bundled under the OpenRTOS CONNECT name, and include such utilities as USB Host and FAT File System.

InterNiche, a communication protocol specialist, is providing a TCP/IP stack and related security and network management utilities.  The two companies will provide the CONNECT suite as free downloads for evaluation on target systems.  Users then can work with High Integrity and InterNiche on fully integrated solutions on embedded controllers, using CodeRed Red Suite and Rowley CrossWorks development environments.
