DesignCon 2014 registration begins
If you’re planning to attend DesignCon 2014 -- the conference for the chip, board, and systems design community -- you can save up to $200 with Early Bird pricing for passes. You can also book your hotel room for the event at special low rates.
Taking place at the Santa Clara Convention Center from January 28-31, 2014, DesignCon brings engineers and technologists together to discuss the latest design techniques, theories, methodologies, and applications for all levels of electronics design. The conference promises more than 120 technical tutorials, case studies, and panels. Those sessions are split into 14 different tracks catering to the semiconductor and electronic design engineering communities, ranging from topics like Optimizing Chip-Level Designs for Signal and Power Integrity, to new categories like Wireless and Photonic Design & Integration.
Registration is open for the event, and if you purchase your pass by November 1, you can save up to $200 on an All-Access Pass that gets you into the show all four days, including a full day of workshops. You can also save $150 if you buy a 2-Day Pass or a 1-Day Pass before the November 1 deadline -- those passes grant you access to all of DesignCon 2014’s conference sessions. DesignCon’s Expo segment, which runs from January 29-30, is open to anyone with a free Expo Pass or an All-Access/Day Pass, including access to sessions in the Chiphead Theater and more than 150 vendors.
You can book your rooms for the event at nearby hotels like the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara and Avatar Hotel with discounted rates when you ask for their special DesignCon 2014 prices. The Hyatt Regency Santa Clara is attached to the Santa Clara Convention Center, while the Avatar Hotel is just a mile away (both are minutes away from the San Jose International Airport). More information on transportation and parking, nearby airports, acquiring visitor visas for the show, and more is available at the Venue & Travel page on DesignCon 2014’s official site.
Also at the DesignCon site, you can find a Justification Toolkit for the conference. The Justification Toolkit is designed to help you communicate the value of DesignCon when seeking attendance approval funding approval from your supervisors. Along with sample Justification Letters, the page offers a Benefits Guide that can help you state your case to managers and demonstrate the returns your organization will receive from this investment.
