ICs of the 1930s & 1940s

A while ago, I came across some amazing 1940s-era video posted by mikeselectricstuff on YouTube documenting what can only be described as 1930s/40s integrated circuitry! To minimize any further stressful suspense (as Douglas Adams might more eloquently say), here is the amazing video in question:

The remarkable radio design and production machinery stem from engineer John Sargrove's fertile imagination. It's too bad this technology never took off. I really want one of his radios though.
