Apple’s cool new batteries are (probably) Sanyo’s Eneloops
Margery Conner - August 12, 2010
Last week adafruit’s website was speculating that Apple’s rechagable batteries were Sanyo’s Eneloop brand re-labeled with that Apple cachet that people are so willing to pay a premium for. Now Engadget is reporting on a Czech site that did a teardown of the battery, looking for tell-tale Sanyo labels. Which they didn’t find, but regardless, everyone seems to agree they’re Eneloops. [Thanks, Brian.]
