Peeps in a vacuum

-April 22, 2014

If the Easter Bunny brought a kiddo in your life a basket full of Peeps last weekend, turn the potential cavity inducers into a science lesson.

In the below video, a chief scientist from Ohio’s Imagination Station shows to a local news show what happens when you put Peeps, the gelatin/sugar holiday candy containing millions of tiny air pockets, inside a vacuum.

He also does the same experiment with a balloon and shaving cream, all three of which offer a good lesson for the future STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) leaders of tomorrow out there.
