What advice do you have for freshman engineering students?
The question came about from a post by a student engineer and it followed a separate week’s 5 Engineers question asking if you’d encourage a kid to become an engineer.
Many of you said yes and, as we’ve heard before, that you hope the study of engineering continues. As a new school year quickly approaches and young students pack up their laptops and suitcases to head off to college and study engineering, we’re wondering: What advice do you have for freshman engineering students? They are blank slates. What do they need to know about their coming educations and careers?
