24W, Level V efficiency, LED driver powers high-brightness home lighting
- December 5, 2012
Phihong’s new LED driver is the 24W LED driver adapter for residential lighting applications, including under-counter lighting and high-brightness floor and table lamps. Designated the PDA024A-S, the Class 2 adapter is available in 700, 1000 and 1500mA outputs at the North American nominal input voltage range 110-120VAC.
External LED driver adapters significantly reduce the amount of heat produced in an enclosure by completely eliminating the driver circuitry from lighting fixtures, which also allows OEMs to use brighter and higher power LEDs at greater efficiencies
PDA024A-S LED driver adapters are designated as Class 2 outputs per UL1310 and UL8750, have a no load power draw of 0.15W and meet the requirements for Level V efficiency marking. In addition to power factor correction of 0.9, standard features include input over-current, output over-voltage, short-circuit and open-circuit protection. 90VAC to 132VAC wall plug input.
Rated IP20 for dry indoor environments, the PDA024A-S LED driver adapters measure 90.5mm x 55.5mm x 38mm and weigh 125g. The adapters also feature a 1.5-meter DC cord terminated with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm center positive barrel connector.
