Buck converter yields 90% efficiency
EDN Staff - June 3, 2012
The LTC3630, 65V input-capable synchronous buck converter delivers up to 500mA of continuous output current form a 16-lead 3mm x 5mm DFN or MSOP package.
Providing efficiencies as high as 90%, its Burst Mode operation requires a minimal 12μA of quiescent current, maximizing battery run time. Operating in a 4V to 65V range, it is suitable for such applications as automotive, industrial, medical, and avionics. Internal high side and low side power MOSFETs ensure high efficiency in a compact footprint. Available from stock, contact the company for pricing.
