AC/DC supplies are DOE Level VI-compliant

-October 08, 2015

External AC/DC power supplies in the TE series from SL Power Electronics meet U.S. Department of Energy Level VI requirements for no-load power consumption and average efficiency. Additionally, the 60-W single-output supplies comply with IEC61000-4-2, Level 4 requirements for ESD protection (8 kV/15 kV) and IEC61000-4-5 standards for surge immunity (1 kV/4 kV), as well as the heavy industrial levels of EN61000 for EMC.

Well-suited for test and measurement applications, the desktop and wall-plug models of the TE series provide regulated output power with low ripple, no-load power consumption of ≤0.210 W, and both short-circuit and thermal protection. Units include Class B EMI filtering with a minimum margin of 6 dB conducted and 3 dB radiated.

SL Power also offers the TB65 series of internal AC/DC power supplies, capable of delivering 65 W of convection-cooled output power from a 2.0×3.5×1.3-in. open-frame package. These single-output supplies achieve up to 90% efficiency, while operating from a universal input of 90 VAC to 264 VAC. Like the TE series, the TB65 power supplies provide Class B EMI filtering with a minimum margin of 6 dB conducted and 3 dB radiated.

Prices for the TE series models start at $22 each in production quantities; TB65 models start at $35 each in OEM quantities.
