PLL synthesizers are USB-controlled

-January 10, 2017

Comprising six models, Pasternack’s PE11S3900 series of PLL synthesizers covers a wide range of frequency bands from 25 MHz to 27 GHz. The devices, which come in compact packages with SMA connectors, are powered and controlled via a USB 2.0 interface and VISA-compliant software.

PE11S3900 synthesizer modules can be used in such applications as benchtop test and measurement, signal generators, electronic warfare, and microwave radios. Models in the series offer high output power levels ranging from +10 dBm to +19 dBm typical, and output attenuation is adjustable up to 50 dB in 1-dB steps. They also offer a phase-locked speed of 1 ms typical and phase noise as low as -108 dBc/Hz at a 100-MHz offset.

Other features include a 50-MHz internal frequency source and optional external reference with supplied cable. Frequency resolution can be adjusted using either integer (default) or fractional operating modes with resolution to a step size down to 1 MHz. LED indicators confirm USB connection, as well as phase locking and unlocking.

Prices for the PLL frequency synthesizers in the PE11S3900 series range from $1649.97 to $6183.30. Devices are shipped from stock.
