The ninth biennial Tucson Conference, Toward a Science of Consciousness, hosted by the Center for Consciousness Studies, University of Arizona, will take place April 12-17, 2010 at the Tucson Convention Center. The Tucson Conferences are known for rigorous, inter-disciplinary approaches to conscious experience. As in previous conferences, the program will include Plenary and Keynote talks, Concurrents, Poster presentations, art-tech demos, pre-conference workshops, side trips and social events.
Keynote Speakers: Antonio Damasio, Karl Deisseroth, Marcus Raichle, Robert J. Sawyer, Robert G. Shulman. Plenary Themes: Brain Default Networks, Stimulus Independent Thought, Mind Wandering, Non-Conscious Processing, New Technologies, Machine Consciousness, Body Consciousness, William James Centennial, Self & Transformation.
