EVENT DETAILS
New Memory Technologies Conference
When: 07/16/2009
Location: San Francisco, CA United States Of America
The reality of semiconductor memory technologies is that Desktop PCs are no longer the target market for memory product development-the sweet spot for memory demand is shifting toward more powerful handheld devices with expanded functions. As we move toward a new target market, the value proposition of the semiconductor technologies also shifts. New materials and equipment are necessary to accelerate these new memory technologies into high volume production.
This conference will move from concept to reality by presenting applications that would support new memory technologies, and examine why so many of the participating companies are outside of the recognized circle of memory manufacturers. The commitment of major semiconductor companies to the development of new memory technologies is making headlines on a regular basis. New alliances are being formed, and new opportunities are unfolding at an accelerated pace as all semiconductor companies seek an optimal realignment while the world economies recover. This conference provides a front-row view of one of the most significant trends in semiconductor technologies in decades.
The conference will explore the tradeoffs between new performance attributes and new manufacturing cost categories that will dictate which new memory technologies will achieve high volume production. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the new materials and equipment infrastructure that will facilitate this emerging growth opportunity.
