PR whiz and good ol’ boy Mark Alden sent me a press release that details six new reference designs that National has just posted on their website. The six designs are:

• Solar-Powered Lead-Acid Battery Charger [Update, this link temporarily broken due to legal dispute]
• High-Efficiency Portable Music Player Dock
• CCFL to LED Conversion Power Supply
• Ambient Light Adaptive LED Driver
• High-Performance SerDes Module with Easy FPGA Interface and Cable Detect
• Load-Detecting Power Supply

One of the nice things is that National gives you schematics, a BOM, board layout, firmware, and FPGA source code in Verilog or VHDL. Lately National has been on a low-power kick so these designs all stress that aspect of the design. You can see all their reference designs here.
