EDN's Hot 100 Electronic Products

Compiled by EDN's editors, this annual listing highlights the electronics industry's most innovative and significant products, including analog and digital ICs, process technologies, power sources, processor cores, communication controllers, test instruments, embedded boards, EDA tools, and more.

Each December since 1999, EDN's editors have compiled and published a list of the industry's best and most significant electronic products—spanning everything from components to software tools to peripherals to test instruments. Culled from the countless product announcements our editors evaluate each year, the EDN Hot 100 represents a prestigious annual snapshot of innovation in the tech industry. See below for details on how we select the winners.

How does this work? How do I nominate my company's products?

Each year, EDN's editors select the Hot 100 products from among products they covered during the year, both in the print pages of EDN and on this site. Therefore, there is no nomination process for the Hot 100. If one of our editors reports on your product, and if he or she thinks your product is one of the best and brightest of the year, it has a good chance of making the cut. So, the best way to get into the Hot 100 is to make sure you get your products in front of our editors. Please see our complete guide to Editorial Opportunities to learn how to do that.
