KVD Standardizes on Galaxy Semiconductor Solutions for Test Data Analysis

Agreement Provides KVD’s Applications, Design and Manufacturing Teams with Standard Characterization and Analysis Tools

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and WALTHAM, Mass. - July 21, 2008-- KVD, a supplier of cost effective semiconductor ATE for the linear, power management and low cost mixed signal markets, and Galaxy Semiconductor Solutions, a leading provider of test data analysis and yield management software, today announced that they have entered into a licensing agreement for Galaxy’s Examinator software. Under the terms of the agreement, KVD’s applications engineering team will use Examinator as a standard reporting tool for customer-related activities such as acceptance testing, device characterization and tester correlation studies. In addition, KVD’s design and manufacturing groups will utilize the Galaxy software for monitoring design and yield tolerances in their supply chain, and for system software QA testing.

Examinator™ is a software solution that enables test and product engineers to perform device/program characterization and root-cause analysis from standard semiconductor data files such as STDF. With just a single click Examinator generates comprehensive reports, such as: yield summary, Cp, Cpk, histograms, wafer maps, Pareto diagrams, and gage R/R. In addition, Examinator performs automatic guard-banding of test limits, and lets engineers perform “what-if” experiments to explore the impact of test program changes on yield and repeatability.
