Weighing in at just 0.2 grams, this miniature accelerometer successfully reduces mass loading effects. Because of its tiny “teardrop” design, the 3224A1 is ideal for vibration measurements in even the smallest locations.

Chatsworth, CA (August 20, 2008) – Dytran Instruments Inc. has just introduced an ultra miniature high sensitivity IEPE accelerometer with titanium housing. Weighing in at just 0.2 grams, this miniature accelerometer successfully reduces mass loading effects. Because of its tiny “teardrop” design, the 3224A1 is ideal for vibration measurements in even the smallest locations.

Model 3224A1 is laser welded in a titanium housing which ensures its robust construction and contributes to its lightweight. The model 3224A1 is available with a sensitivity of 10 mV/g and can operate at temperatures up to 300°F. It features integrated electronics, an adhesive mount and a planar shear, ceramic design which reduces base strain sensitivity and thermal transient response.

This ultra miniature teardrop accelerometer is ideal for the following applications: Environmental Stress Screening, PC board vibration measurements, product response, general purpose vibration where space is at a premium, mechanical shock and modal analysis.
