Comprehensive Linear Circuit Analysis Program Available
CCICAP performs a wide range of linear circuit analyses. Circuit optimization and extensive noise analysis features are available through an on-line interface.
Circuit Concepts, Inc. (CCI) is pleased to announce that CCICAP, a powerful and easy to use linear circuit analysis program, is available to design engineers at the Circuit Concepts web site (www.C-C-I.com).
Besides frequency and time domain analysis capabilities, CCICAP allows the user to optimize a design using a genetic algorithm optimizer and includes extensive circuit noise analysis features.
The CCICAP optimizer uses methods similar to genetic crossover and mutation to find circuit element values that adjust the circuit response to a specified target response. Applications include the design of frequency equalizers and delay compensation networks.
CCICAP provides the designer of linear circuits with comprehensive information about the noise performance of their circuit, including spot noise, total noise, and a unique component noise table that quickly identifies which components are contributing significant noise at specified frequencies.

CCICAP is controlled by a SPICE like input text file with a syntax that allows for both user defined parameters and calculations. The User's Guide is on-line at www.C-C-I.com/ccicap. Several example input files are listed on the web site.
After a CCICAP input file is prepared it can be uploaded and submitted using a form on the CCI web site. An e-mail containing the results of the CCICAP run will be sent to the user's address when the analysis is complete – usually in a few moments.
Small circuits, up to 30 circuit elements, can be simulated using the free version of CCICAP. Larger circuits, up to 500 circuit elements, can be studied with the Professional version. Access to the Professional version can be purchased on the web site.
