  • Tektronix enters VNA market with low-cost USB models
  • "Inexpensive" is, of course, a relative term. Compared to VNAs from Anritsu and Copper Mountain, the TTR500 is inexpensive, but not compared to the PocketVNA. We see that same thing in the oscilloscope market. The big scope companies think $1200 is inexpensive, but not compared to those $200 models out there.

  • Jim Williams' contributions to EDN
  • We have been able to restore some articles from that era by scanning the figures from the original print pages. At that time, EDN's editors posted articles using links to PDFs of the images and those links have since broken.

  • Jim Williams' contributions to EDN
  • We recently added an article of Jim's originally published on May 26, 1988. It's at the end of this list, but here's the link. It's complete with images scanned from the printed pages. http://www.edn.com/design/test-and-measurement/4442785/Clever-techniques-improve-thermocouple-measurements

  • Help us complete EDN's print collection
  • Thanks to everyone to send their EDN issues. The set is now complete. Harvard is in the process of moving the EDN collection from the School of Engineering & Applied Science library to the Cabot Science Library. Once the move is complete, I'll deliver that last 12 issues.
