  • Apple vs FBI: When privacy and safety collide
  • elze, it seems that way in retrospect I guess. However, one would think the FBI--for all its technical acumen--would know not to change the Apple ID to begin with. • How long do LEDs really last?
  • So, what are the solutions for this wide range of potentially unsubstantiated lifetimes? How do we get an industry to use specs that are consistent? For the most part, LEDs are now integrated into our lives and I'm amazed at some of the really zoomy applications for LED technology (outside of the light on my desk). I think the technology would be bought anyway based on its green aspects--but it would be nice to know what their real life expectation is.

  • Apple vs FBI: When privacy and safety collide
  • You write: "But since the FBI figured it out on their own, now the FBI is publicly offering to help other law enforcement agencies crack other phones held for evidence. While I understand Apple's reluctance (but not agree), it appears they may have cut off their nose to spite their face." I don't think they did figure it out on their own. And I believe this shows just would have happened if Apple had been able to give the FBI a back door, "just this once."

  • Interesting - you're the first person I've heard of that actually does record installation of the various types.
