Free panel: Hardware/software co-design from a software perspective

-February 21, 2012

I was just chatting with Steve Pollock, VP of marketing and business development at S2C, and he was telling me about a rather interesting panel that will be co-located with DVCon.

Hosted by the EDA Consortium Emerging Companies Committee, this free panel looks like a “must see” for anyone who is attending this year's DVCon.

The panel is titled Hardware/software co-design from a software perspective. Steve points out that when we talk about HW/SW co-design, we usually think about things from a hardware-centric point of view (“Here’s the hardware, go play with it…” type thing). So this panel is coming at things from a different angle along the lines of “What do the software guys and gals really need to make HW/SW co-design a reality?”

Of particular interest to me is that the moderator will be Paul McLellan, EDA Industry Analyst and author of the book EDA Graffiti (Click Here to see my review of this book)

Also of interest is the list of panelists as follows (I can see why Steve says “This is probably the best panel we’ve ever had!" I only wish I was going to attend DVCon, because if I was I would certainly be at this panel):

Date: Monday, February 27, 2012
Time: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Location: DoubleTree Hotel, 2050 Gateway Place, San Jose, CA 95110 (Co-located with DVCon)
