Dual-channel PCIe card captures 3G-SDI digital video

-July 24, 2013

Using a PCI Express x4 interface, the PCIe-2602 card from Adlink Technology performs two-channel acquisition of 3G-SDI (3-Gbps Serial Digital Interface) video signals at a resolution of up to 1920×1080p/60-fps for low-latency, uncompressed video-streaming applications. It delivers lossless full color YUV 4:4:4 video at up to a 12-bit pixel depth for sharper, cleaner images and smooth transitions from color to color-boost when greater image detail is required.

The PCIe-2602 video/audio capture card supports all SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals, achieving six times the resolution of standard VGA. When combined with a compatible 75-Ω coaxial cable, PCIe-2602 signals can be transmitted over 100 m without significant modification to existing analog-based CCTV systems.

Onboard RS-485 and digital I/O ports accommodate external devices, such as pan-tilt-zoom cameras and sensors. The card, which works with Windows 7 and XP, comes with Adlink’s ViewCreator Pro utility for setup, configuration, testing, and system debugging with no software programming required. All drivers are compatible with Microsoft DirectShow.
