Hall switch supplies dual outputs

-January 09, 2017

Housed in a low-profile X2-DFN1410-4 package, Diodes’ AH1389 unipolar Hall-effect switch offers a tightly defined magnetic operating window across its full operating voltage and temperature range. The part operates from a supply voltage of 1.6 V to 3.6 V, and in sleep mode, consumes just 4 µA at 1.85 V.

The AH1389 provides dual outputs for detecting north and south poles independently. One output switches on in the presence of a north pole with a magnetic flux strength that is below -25 G and releases when the flux exceeds -20 G. The second output switches on in the presence of a south pole with a magnetic flux magnitude greater than +25 G and releases when the flux magnitude falls below +20 G.

The AH1389 is intended for battery-powered consumer and industrial applications, including cell phones, tablets, video cameras, and home appliances. It furnishes 360° rotation detection, an ESD rating of 8 kV, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

In lots of 1000 units, the AH1389 costs $0.24 each.
